I had Chicken Over Rise ($ 5.00) near my office place in 8th Avenue, New York. It was awesome. I liked it very much. Basmati rice, on top of it tasty chicken, curd … food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Planing to try lamb over rice …

UI Patterns – www.fifa.com
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/standings/index.html
I noticed an interesting UI in the www.fifa.com. If you visited a page called “Where the teams are standing now? you could notice some special UI pattern. If you mouse over the data grid, the hover the cursor over a data cell, the background color is appearing for the complete row and column as well. It helps the user to process the data very easily.

Safety Measure to be adapted during Lift Failure – Useful Information – Please pass on
I got this little piece of info as a forwarded mail ….
What to do when you are trapped in a lift?
We never know when and where accidents will happen to us OR people around us. Read on and hope this piece of information may help any of us when things do happen to ourself, our friends and our loved ones.
One day, while in a lift, it suddenly broke down and it was falling from level 13 at a fast speed. Fortunately, I remembered watching a TV program that taught you must quickly press all the buttons for all the levels. Finally, the lift stopped at the 5th level.
When you are facing life and death situations, whatever decisions or actions you make decides your survival. If you are caught in a lift breakdown, first thought in mind may be ‘waiting to die’… But after reading below, things will definitely be different the next time you are caught in a lift.
First – Quickly press all the different levels of buttons in the lift.
Second – Hold on tight to the handle (if there is any).
Third – Lean your back and head against the wall forming a straight line.
Fourth – Bend your knees (Reason – When the lift falls, you will not know when it will hit the
ground, and it may result in whole body bone fracture.)
Point 1 – When the emergency electricity supply is being activated, it will stop the lift from falling further.
Point 2 – It is to support your position and prevent you from falling or getting hurt when you lost your balance.
Point 3 – Leaning against the wall is to use it as a support for your back/spine as protection.
Point 4 – Ligament is a flexible, connective tissue. It can be attached to the bone part of the activities, but limit the scope of their activities in order to avoid injury. Thus, the impact of fractured bones will be minimized from the severe pressure during fall.

FastestFox – Browse Faster
I am using a Firefox add-on called "FastestFox". Now I am able to browse faster. Get faster, parallelized downloads, auto-loading of next page, improved searching, and more. I love the auto-loading of next page function. It give you the page break and maintain the same look and feel.

The above screen-shot was taken when I was searching for a keyword "Android" in flickr.com. The moment I reached the bottom of the first page (search result page) ... automatically FastestFox gave me an alert message as "Loading next page" ... After the next page got loaded now I am able to scroll up up and down ... browse between pages ... in a single page it itself.
And each and every page has a clear page break ... with a black strip ...."page 1" .. "page 2" .. text on that in white color.
FastestFox will dramatically enhanced my productivity! Try this one .. my dear folks ...
Its really cool guys ..
Interesting UI pattern – www.surveymonkey.com
When I tried to register for the first time in the site www.surveymonkey.com I come across a few interesting UI pattern.

www.surveymonkey.com registration form
Few interesting things about this form design,
- Labels are bold, prominent and right aligned.
- Input box blue border and light yellow background attracts the user’s eyes towards the where they to act on.
- Clear inline help messages (Up to 50 characters, no white space). It’s for better than allowing people enter data with white space and then while submitting the form giving an error message.
- Font size clearly show the importance of the text.
- The horizontal gray line is guiding the user that the to portion is the area where the user has to enter data and the bottom area is to act (Click).
- Links are prominent, clear, bold and blue in color.
- “Create a new account” button is definitely have more importance than the cancel button. The yellow color is playing its role to convey the importance to the users.
One more interesting helping mechanism is, if you try to click anywhere on the page (without entering data in any of the form fields) it immediately changes the text box border color to red.

Pallikonda
A small town located in the Chennai – Bangalore highway. This is my birth place. I studied here up to my 4th standard in an English medium school. My mummy got transfer to Ramanathapurm. So we moved to Ramanathapuram and joined in a Tamil Medium School (St. Andrews Elementary School).
Thing I remember
- The house. It was a very big lengthy house. Few other people also stayed with us because that house had six rooms. Palace style old house, a well, cement bench for the pedestrians to sit (in front of the house), coconut trees, mango and orange tree, greens. Two big wooden pillars at the center of the house.
- The people. I remember few teacher who was working with my mummy. My neighborhood grandma Baayammaa and house owner Aachi. Few other people like Tailor, postman, milkman, …
- The stream. Back side of this house, there was a beautiful stream. It reached up to Palaaru river. I love to sit and watch the water flow. Importantly to see the fishes and frogs.
- Few other things like a theater, a flour mill, a vegetable shop, two bus stops, mummy’s school, my school, a small temple at the top of the hill, a church …
I visited Pallikonda town again with my wife, almost after 25 years. I met the two grandma’s who took care of myself and my brother in our childhood days.
