A small town located in the Chennai – Bangalore highway. This is my birth place. I studied here up to my 4th standard in an English medium school. My mummy got transfer to Ramanathapurm. So we moved to Ramanathapuram and joined in a Tamil Medium School (St. Andrews Elementary School).

Thing I remember

1. The house. It was a very big lengthy house. Few other people also stayed with us because that house had six rooms. Palace style old house, a well, cement bench for the pedestrians to sit (in front of the house), coconut trees, mango and orange tree, greens. Two big wooden pillars at the center of the house.
2. The people. I remember few teacher who was working with my mummy. My neighborhood grandma Baayammaa and house owner Aachi. Few other people like Tailor, postman, milkman, …
3. The stream. Back side of this house, there was a beautiful stream. It reached up to Palaaru river. I love to sit and watch the water flow. Importantly to see the fishes  and frogs.
4. Few other things like a theater, a flour mill, a vegetable shop,  two bus stops, mummy’s school, my school, a small temple at the top of the hill, a church …

I visited Pallikonda town again with my wife, almost after 25 years. I met the two grandma’s who took care of myself and my brother in our childhood days.
